Enugu royal father raises alarm over plot to rope him in frivolous allegations

Traditional ruler of Nara-Unateze community in Enugu East LGA, Enugu State, Igwe Ifeanyi Ogbu Eze, has raised the alarm over plans to eliminate him through fraudulent set up.

This is as he sent an SOS petition report to the Police Service Commission Chairman over his travails, including his First Bank account that was criminally frozen.

The royal father in the report alleged that CPS Sunny Amison and CP.A. Ibrahim, both attached to sub-section FORCID, Abuja, are conniving with three of his younger siblings as alleged masterminds of the operation.

In an SOS petition he sent to the Chairman, Police Service Commission (PSC) dated March 7, 2033, made available to Sunday Sun, the royal father asked the police commission to intervene and investigate the flagrant abuse of office and brazen disregard to the order and directives of the Inspector-General of Police by  CPS Amisan and CP Ibrahim.

HRM Ogbu Eze in the petition, which a copy was also sent to the IG of Police, expressed shock on how on March 2, 2023, he went to make some transactions in his bank (First Bank Plc), Enugu, only to be informed that his accounts have been flagged by a Magistrate in Mararaba, Nasarawa State at the instigation of the Commissioner of Police and CSP, both of SEB-FORCID Abuja.

He noted that all cases known to him and which were adequately brought to the knowledge of the IGP, including the one purportedly being handled by CSP Sunny Amison at SEB-FORCID Abuja were ordered to be transferred to, consolidated and harmonized by AIG-Zone 13 Ukpo, Anambra State, but that Amison refused to obey the order due to his sinister motive.

He noted that the action taken by Hon. V. V Manga Esq (Magistrates Court Mararaba) was without his prior notice or his counsel, hence no clue as to the reason for such arbitrary action.

The royal father also noted that the frozen accounts are exclusively his private accounts.

Igwe Ogbu Eze also pointed out that the closure of the accounts since March 2, is dealing untold hardships on him, his family and business.

He lamented that it is most painful that he can no longer access his closed accounts, being the official medium through which he receives the monthly stipends extended to him as traditional ruler, from the Enugu State government.

He expressed apprehension that the silence of the Police Service Commission and office of the IGP gives room for suspicion that CSP Sunny Amison is acting at their behest.
