The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Saturday’s election in Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi appears to be heading for victory.
Our correspondent reports that he has won 11 local government area results announced so by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), out of the 17 LGAs in the state. PDP won all with over 85 per cent of the total vote cast.
Since 1999, Enugu State has been governed by PDP and it appears that the party is going to retain the state for the next four years.
