Eni’s subsidiary, Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), in partnership with NNPC Limited under the NAE Production Sharing Contract (PSC), has awarded postgraduate scholarships to 30 Nigerian graduates for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Of the beneficiaries, 10 will study in leading universities overseas, while the remaining 20 will pursue postgraduate degrees in Nigerian universities. The fields of study include Engineering, Geosciences, Petroleum and Environmental Technology, Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, and Energy Transition.
At the award ceremony in Abuja, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of NAE, Mr. Fabrizio Bolondi, congratulated the recipients, stressing that the scholarship would empower them to pursue their academic and professional goals.
“The award ceremony highlights our continuous commitment to the future of education, innovation, and capacity building in Nigeria,” Bolondi said.

The Chief Upstream Investment Officer of NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), represented by Mrs. Edith Bunmi-Lawson and Mr. Paul Duke, commended the initiative and reaffirmed the organisation’s support for human capital development.
The NNPC-NAE PSC postgraduate scholarship scheme, established in 2007, seeks to bridge Nigeria’s skills gap in specialised fields crucial to deep offshore oil and gas operations. Since its inception, 350 Nigerian graduates have benefitted, gaining the expertise required to strengthen local content and technical capacity in the sector.
Beyond scholarships, Eni and NAE have invested in various sustainability projects across Nigeria, focusing on education, healthcare, clean water, infrastructure, and community empowerment.
