Former Governor of Abia State and Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatisation Dr Orji Kalu has described former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku as a genuine and patriotic statesman with passion for growth and development of Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message in commemoration of the 91st birthday anniversary of the seasoned diplomat, Kalu acknowledged the robust accomplishments of Anyaoku in all facets of life, adding that the outstanding and exemplary leadership qualities of the celebrant were worthy of commendation and emulation by leaders across the globe.

The former governor stressed that the well respected elder statesman has made invaluable contributions to diplomacy and international relations through various platforms, which has continually earned him honors and recognition across the world.

“I am delighted to congratulate the former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku on the occasion of his 91st birthday anniversary,” Senator Kalu stated.

“The seasoned diplomat is a notable figure across the world owing to his giant accomplishments and contributions to humanity.

“As a strong advocate of good governance and fair society, Chief Anyaoku has consistently and significantly played key roles in the sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.

“He is a source of inspiration to his contemporaries and the younger generation.

“Leaders will continue to tap from the vast experience of the seasoned diplomat in a bid to build a fair and just society”.

Kalu prayed for a longer life in sound health for the celebrant.
