BUSINESS mogul and Chairman, Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu has no doubt written his name in the annals of Africa’s history as one of the biggest investors of our time.
From humble beginnings he has carved a niche for himself as a banker and investor extra-ordinary no doubt. And his antecedents speak for him.
Today, the UBA brand would be nowhere without his contributions at Standard Trust Bank (STB), which morphed into UBA after the now defunct STB acquired UBA and transformed it into one of Africa’s biggest brands.
Today, Elumelu has won many awards across the globe for his entrepreneurial and business skills.
Recently, in far away Cote d’ Ivoire, Elumelu added yet another feather to his cap when he was honoured by the General Confederation of Enterprise of Cote d’Ivoire (GCECI).
The platform presented to him its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award on April 21, in Abidjan, the Ivorien capital, in recognition of his leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
Among others the event was graced by renowned business leaders, politicians and government officials across the length and breadth of Africa and beyond.
