To ensure a heavy tight security in Imo State,the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has deployed 3 commissioners of police to the 3 zones of the State.
Banjo Ogurinde,would be in charge of Imo East while Chris Aimionowane and Alex Wannang are for Imo West and Imo North respectively.
The CPs posted for the election duties in the State have assured the people of the State and all political actors of absolute neutrality and a level playing ground throughout the election.
According to a statement by the police spokesperson in the State,Henry Okoye,the deployment is to ensure that no stone is left unturned in providing a conducive atmosphere for the people of the while exercising their franchise and also to conduct the 2023 general elections devoid of Political thuggery and other menaces before, during and after the 2023 election.
