Fast-rising comedian, actor, and skit maker Ekene Smith has returned from the United Kingdom with exciting stories about his first international performance at the Madiba Updated Tour.

Speaking about his experience, Ekene described his time on stage as “a beautiful moment”, highlighting how he was able to connect with both his art and the audience in a unique way.
“I had a beautiful time on stage, distinctively sharing my experiences and cracking environmental and socially friendly jokes,” he said. “I also had a great time connecting with Nigerians living abroad. They were excited to see me, and more importantly, to listen to my jokes. Some even went the extra mile in appreciating my performance with a few gigs.”
Ekene admitted that, being his first visit to the UK, adapting to the cold weather was a challenge. However, he quickly adjusted and focused on giving his best performance.
“At some point, I felt like being far away from home, but seeing Nigerians working hard and coming out to support what I do was a big motivation,” he added. “It was like a dream come true, especially connecting with great comics from different parts of the world. I give all the glory to God for making it possible.”
Ekene Smith continues to rise as one of Nigeria’s promising comedy talents, and his UK performance marks another milestone in his growing career.
