Legacy Volleyball Club is set to mark its 20th anniversary with the Super 4 Volleyball Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, at the Volleyball Court, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
The two-day competition will feature eight leading teams from across Lagos, battling for supremacy in both the men and women’s categories.
In the men’s event, Legacy Volleyball Club will compete against Lekki Volleyball Club, Street Friendly Volleyball Club, and Amuwo Spikers. The women’s division will see Legacy, Lekki, 1015 Spikers, and Amuwo Spikers vie for a ₦500,000 winner-takes-all prize.
Beyond the tournament, the anniversary celebration will include a veterans’ exhibition match, charity visits to orphanages, and a grand gala night scheduled for Saturday, November 22.
Speaking to journalists ahead of the event, Joy Ezenwa, President of Legacy Volleyball Club, described the milestone as a celebration of community and resilience.
“We are celebrating 20 years of Legacy, and it is a huge milestone,” Ezenwa said. “Legacy is more than just a sports group — it’s a family. This anniversary is about celebrating the game, reconnecting with old members, and honoring the lives the club has touched.”
Ezenwa attributed the club’s longevity to unity and determination, noting that its members have continued to support one another through challenges.
“Our bond keeps us going. We always find ways to overcome whatever comes our way without letting it affect our togetherness,” she added.
She extended an open invitation to volleyball enthusiasts across Lagos to be part of the festivities.
“We invite all stakeholders to come and experience volleyball built on friendship and passion as we celebrate our past and look forward to the future.”
