The Anambra State First Lady, Nonye Soludo, has congratulated Muslims across the country on this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, calling on citizens to embrace peace and show greater kindness to one another.
Mrs Soludo, who is the founder of the non-governmental organisation, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, also urged the people to imbibe the good teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by extending a hand of fellowship to the needy and vulnerable in society.
She stated this in a statement issued by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, on Tuesday, while urging citizens to promote peace, tolerance and peaceful coexistence across the country.

She also tasked Muslim faithful in the state and across the country with making a deliberate effort to adhere to the teachings of Eid-el-Maulud.
She said, “Wishing our Muslim brothers and sisters in Anambra State and across Nigeria a blessed and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration. May this sacred occasion bring peace to our homes, strengthen our faith, and inspire us to show greater kindness and understanding to one another.
“There are great lessons of peace, perseverance, tolerance, humility and selflessness that we can all learn from the life of the Prophet,” she stated.
She said mutual respect across religious, ethnic and social lines remained important for strengthening national unity and building a more peaceful and cohesive society.
