…urges Muslim faithful to pray for peace in Nigeria

Former Commissioner for Lands, Enugu State, Dr Victor Nnam, has urged Muslim faithful in Nigeria to unite in prayers for peace across the nation.
Nnam who is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), made this call during his address to the Muslim community at the palace of Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero,
Chief Nnam expressed gratitude for the opportunity to speak before the esteemed congregation at the palace.
“The atmosphere exuded reverence and unity, encapsulating the essence of Eid and the rich diversity that defines our society,”
“I conveyed messages of goodwill and solidarity, emphasizing the imperative of mutual respect and understanding among diverse faiths and communities.”
According to him, discussions centered on the vital role of religious tolerance and education in advancing harmony and progress throughout the nation.
“This visit underscored the values of inclusivity and collaboration, reaffirming our collective commitment to fostering a more harmonious and prosperous society,” he said.
He expressed anticipation for future engagements aimed at promoting peace and understanding among all people, transcending boundaries of faith and culture.
The delegation also paid a visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Nasiru Ado Bayero, OFR, the Emir of Bichi.
