The Ecoba Lagos Education Foundation (ELEF) continued its 11-year tradition of supporting academic excellence at Edo College on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, sponsoring 40 awards at the institution’s Graduation and Prize Giving Day ceremony.
The colourful event, held at the College Hall under the inspiring theme “The Eaglets Take Flight,” brought together parents, guardians, alumni, board members, and well-wishers to celebrate graduating students and exceptional academic performers.
“The ceremony highlighted the transition of the graduating students into a new phase of their educational journey,” with the atmosphere filled with pride and celebration as graduates received their certificates and deserving students were presented with various academic and leadership awards.
The partnership between Edo College and ELEF has become an integral part of the institution’s annual celebration of merit and achievement. The Foundation’s sustained support, funded through generous contributions from distinguished Edo College Old Boys, aims to promote academic excellence and reward outstanding performance among the College’s student body.
Many of the 40 awards sponsored this year were instituted in memory of loved ones or in honour of individuals who made significant positive impacts on their sponsors’ lives during their years at Edo College, testament to the enduring bond between alumni and their alma mater.

The ceremony reaffirmed Edo College’s enduring commitment to raising future leaders and responsible citizens. The institution, which continues to uphold its motto of “Knowledge and Wisdom,” celebrated another successful year of academic excellence and outstanding achievement.
