Edo Climate Commission chairman congratulates ambassadorial nominees on Senate clearance

The Chairman of the Edo State Ecological/Climate Change Funding and Management Commission, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, has congratulated ambassadorial nominees who were recently cleared by the Senate.

In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by Agbomhere, hr described the Senate’s clearance as an affirmation of confidence in the nominees, citing their track records of professionalism and commitment to national service.

He said the nominations by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were rooted in merit, experience and competence, noting that the move would strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence globally.

The Climate Commission boss specially congratulated Oduma Yvonne Ehinose, Wasa Shogun Ige, Engr. Abbas Braimah, Ogbonnaya Kalu Esq., Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, among others.

He commended the President for prioritising capacity in the selection process, adding that the ambassadors-designate had served the country in various capacities over the years and were well positioned to represent Nigeria’s interests abroad.

“I encourage the career and non-career ambassadors-designate to actively project Nigeria’s core values, strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations, and promote constructive international engagement, including cooperation in critical areas such as climate action, environmental sustainability, economic development, and global partnerships,” Agbomhere said.

He prayed that God will grant them successful and impactful tenures in their service to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
