From Jude Chinedu, Enugu
Economic activities have fully returned to Enugu as residents boycotted the nationwide protest aimed at coaxing government to end wide-spread hunger, corruption and bad governance in Nigeria.
Banks, malls, markets and petrol stations which were shut on Thursday, the first day of the protest, were fully open for business as residents went about their normal businesses.
When The Sun visited Abakpa, the area was buzzing with commercial activities. Traders were going about their business peacefully at the popular Abakpa market.

However, the only two banks in the area have not opened for business at time of filing this report. Recall that banks in Abakpa were targeted and were seriously vandalised during the botched EndSARS protest.
At Ogbete, Kenyatta and New Market, it was observed that the markets were fully open for business and traders went about their business peacefully.
There was also no sign of protest when The Sun visited Emene, New Haven, Independence Layout, Ogui Road and Zik’s Avenue.
However, security operatives were seen patrolling the town to ensure that there was no breakdown of law and order.
Several military checkpoints which dotted the metropolis on Thursday have however been removed.
