Echefu lauds Lagos LP chair

Labour-Party

By Vincent Kalu

The National President of the Indigenous Igbo Youths Congress (IIYC), Chief Mayor Echefu, has eulogised the Lagos State Chairman of the Labour Party, Pastor Dayo Ekong, describing her as a woman with the heart of a lion.

He lauded her performance for Labour Party during the last presidential election where her party’s candidate, Peter Obi, defeated President Tinubu in the latter’s home state.

“How can you describe a woman who has accomplished such a great feat? She is a lion slayer. From their situation room, the PDP acknowledged that Labour Party got over a million votes in Lagos.  The unrivalled commitment and goodwill of this woman made this victory possible,” he said.

Echefu noted that the woman stands tall among the state chairmen of the 36 political parties in the country, adding that: “Pastor Ekong and Sam Okpara, the secretary of the party in Lagos deserve praises. This was a party that nobody gave a chance of even winning any state Assembly seat, but it uprooted the president in his strong base. The Labour Party should honour them because their commitment and loyalty stand them out.”
