The People of Kpakpaji clan in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have endorsed Governor Francis Nwifuru and the Senator Representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial zone, Kenneth Eze, for second tenure.

The clan made the decision, at the weekend, during a constituency interactive meeting with Senator Eze at his Ohigbo Amagu country home in the local government.

The people said the duo had performed exceedingly well and deserved their total support in the forthcoming elections. The motion for the endorsement of Governor Nwifuru and Senator Eze was moved by Barrister Petrus Elechi and Seconded by Barrister Festus Nweke.

The Vice Chancellor, Ebonyi State University, Prof Michael Awoke, in his speech, said he was proud to have supported Governor Nwifurru and Senator Eze during the 2023 general elections, saying they have justified the people’s mandates given to them.

A Director in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja Centre, Professor Jonathan Aliede, lauded Senator Eze for securing federal employments for many youths and for executing impactful projects in many communities within the zone, assuring that the clan would continue to rally support for him and the state governor.

The APC State Ex-officio, Cletus Alube, described the achievements of Senator Eze as unprecedented in the history of representation in the zone, and urged him to keep up the good work, assuring him of the total support of Kpakpaji clan in the next election.

Other stakeholders who spoke, including the Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwali, and a former local government chairman of Ezza South LGA, Sunday Ogodo, also lauded the achievements of Senator Eze and called for a more united Ezza South for greater gains.

The President, Kpakpaji Youth Assembly and Chief Executive Officer, Smano Minerals, Sunday Nwali, who spoke on behalf of Kpakpaji youth, unanimously supported the endorsement of Governor Nwifuru and Senator Ken Eze for re-election, saying that the duo have prioritised the welfare of the youth and deserved their total support, come 2027.

Nwali vowed that Kpakpaji youth Assembly, under his watch, would mobilise the youth of the clan to ensure the landslide victory of Governor Nwifuru and Senator Eze.

Earlier, Senator Eze, while addressing the people of the clan on his achievements, said he had facilitated federal jobs for over 120 people, constructed classroom blocks in schools, building health centres, constructing bridges and roads, and installed solar powered borehole in different communities, among other numerous achievements.

He explained that he believed in giving the youths permanent empowerment by offering them employment than sharing money and buying drinks for them.

Eze called for unity amongst the people of Ezza South and the entire Ezza clan, and advised those who he accused of engaging in division, bickering, and blackmail to desist.

“Ezza South remains one indivisible entity. I am one person that doesn’t even know I’m here or there. All I know is that I’m a true Ezekuna son and I see Ezza as one indivisible entity. I want to plead with our brothers here, those that believe so much in division and clan, to have a rethink, because it’s retrogressive and cannot do us any good as a people. There is so much strength in unity and divided we fall.

“Let’s concentrate on building one Ezza clan. God has ordained what everyone will be. When it’s your turn, nobody can stop you. Stop the bickering. Stop the rancour.

Stop the blackmail and anguish, because it pays you nothing,” Eze stated.

Eze, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, thanked the people of Kpakpaji clan for their overwhelming support and assured he would never take it for granted.
