Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi A. Sule has extended his Easter greetings to Christians in the state and urged them to reflect deeply on the significance of the occasion.
In a press statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra on Saturday sent to journalist in Lafia saying governor Sule emphasized the importance of sacrifice, love, peace, and patience during this period.
The governor called on Christians to emulate the virtue of sacrifice and mutual respect for one another in their dealings, as they work towards building a better society. He also urged them to ensure their activities align with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and to use this period for spiritual rejuvenation.
Sule reminded the people of Nasarawa State of the existence of God and His mercy on mankind during such religiously significant occasions as Easter. He stressed the need for the people of the state to continue to promote peace and unity across ethnic and religious divides.
The governor however wished everyone a happy Easter celebration and calling on citizens to be law-abiding and cautious on the roads, while urging the people of Nasarawa State to pray for peace and development in the state and to support the government’s efforts to improve the quality of life for all.
