Dr. Folasade Racheal Airebamen was formally invested as President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute of Corporate and Public Sector Professionals (ICPSP) at a well-attended ceremony held at the Lagos Airport Hotel on November 10, 2020. The event brought together professionals, public sector stakeholders, and institutional partners who gathered to witness the leadership transition and celebrate the institute’s renewed commitment to promoting ethical governance and professional excellence.

The investiture marked a significant moment for the institute as it welcomed Dr. Airebamen, a respected academic, sports governance professional, and leadership advocate, into the role of leading its governing council. Her appointment signaled the organization’s intention to deepen its impact in strengthening leadership capacity, ethical standards, and institutional accountability across Nigeria’s corporate and public sectors.

Speaking shortly after her investiture, Dr. Airebamen expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in her leadership and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the institute’s mission. She emphasized that institutions thrive when guided by strong ethical values and responsible leadership.

“Leadership is not merely about position but about responsibility and service. Our collective commitment to integrity and accountability will determine the strength and sustainability of our institutions,” she said.

Dr. Airebamen’s professional background reflects a multidisciplinary career that spans academia, sports governance, and professional leadership development. Prior to her investiture, she had built a reputation for contributing to institutional development and professional education, particularly in areas related to governance, leadership training, and capacity building.

During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the institute’s role in equipping professionals with the knowledge, ethical grounding, and leadership competencies needed to navigate complex governance environments. The organization continues to provide professional certification programs, executive training, and development initiatives designed to strengthen professional standards in both public and corporate institutions.

As President of ICPSP, Dr. Airebamen outlined a vision focused on institutional growth, increased engagement among members, and the creation of platforms that foster knowledge exchange and professional collaboration. She emphasized the importance of partnerships and continuous professional development in strengthening institutional systems.

Part of her leadership agenda includes expanding the institute’s reach through conferences, professional workshops, and strategic collaborations with organizations locally and internationally. These initiatives are expected to enhance professional exposure and encourage cross-sector dialogue on governance and leadership practices.

Dr. Airebamen also stressed the importance of mentorship and leadership development for emerging professionals, noting that preparing the next generation of ethical leaders is essential for sustainable institutional progress.

“We must deliberately invest in developing leaders who understand that governance must be guided by ethics, competence, and a genuine commitment to public service,” she added.

The institute also reaffirmed its commitment to recognizing excellence in leadership through honorary recognitions and professional awards that celebrate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to governance, leadership, and national development.

The investiture ceremony concluded with goodwill messages from professional colleagues and stakeholders who expressed optimism that Dr. Airebamen’s leadership would strengthen the institute’s national and international profile.
