Coach of Nigeria to the fourth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers, Mfon Udofia has called on Nigerians not to rule out D’Tigers’ qualification for the World Cup.

Udofia told SportingSun after the game against Angola that it would be out of place to rule out Nigeria’s chances even with a window slated for February 2023.

“It’s sad we came in this window losing two games and taking only a win. Things did work out the way we planned but that’s not the end of the road for D’Tigers.  We have one more window to go in February. Before the next window, we will endeavour to work harder and be ready.

“We will need to win all our games to stay in contention. I commend the players for their efforts and urge them to keep their spirits high because it’s not over until it’s over.”

Nigeria had lost its opening game against host Cote d’Ivoire, defeated Guinea and lost to Angola to finish the Window with only 4 points out of a possible 6.
