Christians have been advised not to replace the printed version of the Holy Bible with the electronic version.
Founder/Leader of Living Christ Mission Inc., Most Rev. Daddy Hezekiah, gave the charge in Abuja, on Sunday, at a thanksgiving ceremony to mark his Golden Jubilee in the service of the Lord.
He also urged the United Nations (UN) not to waste time on such trivial issues as same sex marriage, but to, instead, focus more attention on those things that would alleviate poverty and find cure for diseases like HIV/AIDS, cancer and Hepatitis B in the underdeveloped countries.
Rev. Hezekiah described the Holy Bible as a ‘sacred, unique and distinct book’which reveals the mind of God and as well the constitution of God to Christians.
“Let me state categorically that nothing can be compared with the Holy Bible, as it is one of our weapons to fight the devil.
“It is holy and special; therefore, I encourage all Christians not to replace their Bibles with technological devises. These technological devices contain corrupt pictures and distractions which one may bump into while reading the Bible in them.
“When we read the Bible, we have a sense of Bible study and feel the presence of God. It gives us confidence in the power and glory of God and it carries a unique glory which these technological devices such as handsets lack. Henceforth, I advise every true Christian to go to church with their Bible and not their handsets”, the cleric stated.
He also harped on the need for national unity, stressing that those clamouring for dismembering of the country were not patriotic.
