The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2023 general election, Prof. Peter Umeadi, has urged Nigerians not to blame President Bola Tinubu for the present hardship the country is experiencing.
He said the country should rather take measures that might be painful in the interim to breathe new life into her economy.
The Professor of Law and former Chief Judge of Anam- bra State who promised during his presidential campaign to entrench rule of law to make Nigeria work, told Sunday Sun yesterday that blaming the nine-month-old Tinubu administration for the rot that had been there for many years would be unfair.
He said: “It will not be fair to blame the Tinubu government for the extreme bad patch we are experiencing now. The rot began many years back. It is also about time we took measures which may be painful in the interim to resuscitate and revitalise our economy.”
Noting that after elections and the litigations that followed, it was time to build the country, Umeadi, called on other presidential candidates in the election to heed to the alleged appeal by President Tinubu to avail their beautiful ideas to move the nation forward.
