Don’t associate us with any political party – Hisbah Board’s Commandant General

From Desmond Mgboh, Kano

The Commander General, Kano State Hisbah Board, Aminuddeen Ibrahim Daurawa has appealed to staff of the Board to desist from associating the institution to any of the political parties in the state.

Describing the operations of the Board as non- political, he stressed that their work was ordained by Almighty Allah and would be rewarded by Him in the hereafter.

The Commander General’s remarks may not be unconnected to the existing political divide in the state, which sometimes results that certain institutions and agencies of government are perceived to be closer to one party than the other.

Daurawa spoke during a thanksgiving prayer session organized to appreciate the Governor’s triumph at the Supreme Court held at the headquarters of the command.

He assured the staffers that the Board would continue with its assigned roles of fighting immoral attitudes and other social vices in the society while imploring the people of the state to shun vices and immoral activities to avoid being embarrassed.

Daurawa also announced plans to establish two additional departments in the Board, namely Hisbah Academy which would train the board’s corps for an award of diploma and NCE certificates from Aminu Kano College of Legal Studies and Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kano.

He explained that the other proposed department is the marriage counselling department , which would be assigned the task of pre- marital counselling of couples so that they can enjoy a successful marriage.

Earlier speaking, the Hisbah Director General, Abba Sa’id Sufi expressed delight at the victory of Governor at Supreme Court and observed that the beneficiaries of the mass wedding program were loyal and had prayed fervently for his victory at the court.
