Popular content creator and actor, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has publicly thanked Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy for supporting him financially since his university days.
He made the revelation in an emotional post on X on Saturday, while opening up about one of the hardest periods of his life.
It comes days after veteran actor, Peter Fatomilola recounted how Mr Macaroni gifted him ₦1 million after a film shoot, following an earlier gesture of ₦200,000 as “fuel money” on another set.
The revelation drew widespread praise from fans and colleagues, many of who shared personal stories of the content creator’s generosity.
Mr Macaroni said he cried after reading messages from people narrating ways he had helped them over the years – many of which he could not even remember.
Mr Macaroni said, “I cried so much last night and this morning. I have seen lots of messages from different people about things I did for them at different times most of which I don’t even remember.”
He described himself as someone long accustomed to giving rather than receiving, noting that people often assumed he had plenty and that he found it difficult to ask for help.
“I have always believed in my heart that the only reason God has given to me is to give it back,” he said.
Mr Macaroni revealed that he faced severe tests in recent years, reaching the point of nearly giving up after seeking help from multiple quarters.
He said God used one unnamed person to settle all he owed, with the support arriving repeatedly.
“I would mention his name but he would be really upset. God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don’t think any sane person would do what he did for me without God’s intervention,” he stated.
He added that he remains forever indebted to that individual.
He also expressed gratitude to his close circle, Mr Macaroni & Friends, for not abandoning him, and singled out Don Jazzy, Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, and Pastor Bolaji for special appreciation.
“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!” he said. “To my brother Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji!!! Thank youuuu.”
Mr Macaroni said he is now in a better place, learning and focusing on things that make him happy, while adding that he had no regrets about helping others.
“I don’t and will never regret anything I have ever done in my life to make the lives of others better in even the smallest way possible,” he stressed.
