Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen. Sule Kazaure, has urged  corps members to pay more attention on skills acquisition program for their own benefit during and after the service.

Kazaure gave the advice during his visit to the 2016 batch ‘B’ corps members posted to Gombe State, on Sunday, at Amada village in Akko Local Government Area of the state.

He said presently white-collar jobs are no longer available like before, hence the need for corps members to attend the program regularly to be well trained in various skills.

Said he, “What I want you to do my children are to pay attention on skills acquisition, why I am saying that is you are all aware that white-collar jobs are no longer available like before and I don’t want my children to be running around from one place to another looking for job that is not there”, he said.

He also advised them to respect the culture and tradition of their host communities and to report any suspicious characters to security agencies.

Kazaure called on them to avoid unnecessary journey and attending night party except in their lodge as well as dirking bear.
