Residents and political stakeholders from Eti-Osa Constituency yesterday, staged a solidarity rally in support of President Bola Tinubu, reaffirming their commitment to his administration and pledging support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, held as part of activities marking Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration, brought together party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, community stakeholders, and supporters who praised the President’s leadership and democratic credentials.
Speaking at the event, former Vice Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), former Council Leader, and former Chief of Staff of Eti-Osa East LCDA, Hon. Taiwo Afini, commended President Tinubu and other democracy advocates for their contributions to sustaining Nigeria’s democratic journey.
Hon Taiwo Afini expressed confidence in the APC candidates emerging from Lagos State, describing them as capable leaders who would build on the achievements of the President and continue delivering democratic dividends to the people.
He highlighted the track records of House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Fuad Atanda Lawal, and Lagos State House of Assembly candidate for Eti-Osa Constituency I, Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole, noting that both men had distinguished themselves through impactful service during their tenures in local government administration.
According to him, Lawal’s achievements as former Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA and Bankole’s contributions as former Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, including the construction of the local government secretariat and other infrastructure projects, stand as evidence of their capacity to deliver effective representation.
Afini assured President Tinubu that APC supporters in Eti-Osa would mobilize massively to secure victory for all party candidates in the 2027 elections.
Also speaking, Comrade Abiodun Maiyegun, a grassroots mobilizer and APC chieftain, said the rally was organized to appreciate President Tinubu for what he described as people-oriented policies and for ensuring a transparent and democratic process during the party’s recent primaries.

Maiyegun also praised Hon. Fuad Atanda Lawal for his performance as a former council chairman, expressing confidence that he would provide quality representation for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency if elected.
The APC stalwart further called on residents of Eti-Osa and Lagos State to support all APC candidates during the forthcoming elections, emphasizing the need to consolidate the gains recorded under the Tinubu administration.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the rally, constituents of Eti-Osa Constituency I formally reaffirmed their loyalty to President Tinubu and endorsed the continuity of his administration beyond 2027.
The group also declared support for Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun, Hon. Fuad Atanda Lawal, Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole, and Hon. Gbolahan Olusegun Yishawu as candidates of the APC.
