Zedvance Finance Limited has appointed Professor Pius ‘Deji Olanrewaju as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective July 1, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The appointment marks a significant step in the company’s drive to strengthen its corporate governance and position itself for its next phase of growth.
In a statement, the company said the enhanced board structure would reinforce oversight, accelerate innovation, and support its strategic growth ambitions while creating sustainable value for stakeholders.
Zedvance described Olanrewaju as a seasoned boardroom leader with extensive expertise in governance, strategy and organisational transformation, noting that his appointment would further strengthen the company’s leadership framework.

A distinguished legal scholar, banking expert and corporate leader, Olanrewaju has more than four decades of experience spanning banking, finance, academia and institutional governance.
He is the immediate past President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), where he served for over 35 years in various leadership capacities. He is also a Professor of Banking Law at Babcock University and the immediate past Provost and Dean of the university’s School of Law and Security Studies.
Olanrewaju holds degrees in law and related disciplines, including a PhD, and is a Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the Institute of Capital Market Registrars, the Institute of Management and Administrative Technology, and the Enterprise Risk Management Professionals. He also serves on the boards of several organisations, including Babcock University Microfinance Bank.
