Founder/General Overseer of World Evangelism Bible Church Incorporated (WEBIC), Prophet Samson Ayorinde recently assembled members of the church for a programme tagged spiritual renewal and special deliverance.
In their thousands, the congregants from mainly Lagos and Ogun states converged on the international headquarters at Ojota, Lagos on Saturday, February 4 2023. Venue was the large auditorium which was filled to the brim. Afterall ,the gathering was a special combined Holy Ghost service to round off the month-long prayer and fasting which ushered in the New Year. Expectation was high. Since the service was a spiritual warfare, everyone was battle ready. The theme of the session was ‘Destroying seven evil altars’, which focused on counselling, message and special deliverance, anchored by resource persons.
Prophet Ayorinde flagged off the service with prayer points which he led. This, he said, was to prepare the participants on what to expect in the six-hour service. And members responded fervently. The main prayers centred on prayer against insecurity in the land and successful conduct of the general elections coming up on February 25th and March 11th this year. There were also intercessory prayers for individuals, families and the nation.
His wife and Co-Founder, Prophetess (Mrs) Mercy Ayorinde, thanked the Upper Room, who went on seven days vigil to prepare the ground for the success of the Holy Ghost service. She read from Deuteronomy 12 Verse 3 to assure that believers shall, with prayers, destroy all evil altars, including those of poverty, witchcraft, depression, sexual perversion, premature death and barrenness. She listed Matthew 15;13 John 10:10 and James 4:7 as some of Bible passages dealing with evil altars.
Responding to a question from participants on the mode of destroying evil altars, Prophet Ayorinde said: “You can’t destroy any evil altar without first embarking on praying and fasting because you are dealing with a phenomenon that may have been existing for years even before you were born.” He recalled that he embarked on marathon 30 days prayer and fasting before he subdued a demon living in an Iroko tree.
The deliverance segment was handled by Apostle Joshua Adekanye of The Ark of God International Christian Gospel Centre, Ilorin, Kwara State.He began the deliverance by reading from Lamentations 5:6-7 and Jeremiah 5.His handling of the session was awesome, according to the congregants. There was no dull moment. Everyone was in the spirit as he led participants in destroying altars of demons and the pulling down of satanic structures of poverty, limitations and ancestral curses. He relied on Gen,8: 1-10, 2Chronicle 20 and 2Kings 3:26-37
Another resource person was Dr Peter Agunbiade, a WEBIC senior pastor. He also quoted from Rev.3:7-8 to pray for prosperity for participants. He urged members to pray for the speedy completion of the new auditorium.
In drawing the curtains on the service, Prophet Ayorinde led members in praying against all principalities. Before sharing the grace, he announced that the second Holy Ghost service to complete the day’s service would hold on March 4 2023.
