Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited (DSWAL) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving customer service, strengthening after-sales support and expanding its commercial vehicle business.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has reiterated the importance of sustainable mobility and local vehicle manufacturing in Nigeria’s economic development.
The commitment was highlighted at the company’s Customer Service Week dinner in Lagos, where its Managing Director, Hikmat B. Thapa, expressed appreciation to customers and business partners for their continued confidence in the organisation.

Thapa said the company remained committed to building long-term relationships with customers through reliable service, genuine spare parts, technical support and timely responses to their needs.
He noted that selling a truck or bus was only the beginning of the relationship, stressing that sustained customer satisfaction depended on the quality of support provided after the sale.
“Our ambition is not simply to sell more vehicles. Our ambition is to build long-term partnerships with our customers and to become a trusted name in commercial transportation in Nigeria and across West Africa,” he said.
According to him, the company would continue to expand its vehicle portfolio, including Sinotruk HOWO trucks and tippers, as well as its passenger bus business, while placing customers at the centre of its operations.
Thapa also emphasised that customer service was a collective responsibility, requiring the commitment of every member of the organisation.
He thanked customers for their loyalty and partnership, expressing optimism about further collaboration, growth and business development.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Transport Operations, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Engr. Olasunkanmi Ojowuro, highlighted the importance of transportation and logistics to economic development, calling for greater investment in sustainable mobility solutions.
Ojowuro said transportation was not merely about moving people and goods but also about adopting sustainable systems that would support economic growth while reducing environmental impact.
He noted that the industry was increasingly exploring alternative energy sources, including compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles, as part of efforts to develop cleaner and more sustainable transportation systems.
Ojowuro commended Dangote Sinotruk for investing in local truck manufacturing, noting that establishing production facilities in Nigeria could contribute to economic development, create opportunities and strengthen the country’s commercial vehicle industry.
He assured stakeholders of the ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that would create an enabling environment for businesses in the transportation sector to thrive.
The remarks highlighted the need for stronger collaboration among vehicle manufacturers, financial institutions, government agencies and transport operators to expand access to commercial vehicles and accelerate the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions.
Some of the customers rewarded with valuable gifts for their patronage of DSWAL products were Sunbeath Global Concept Ltd, Olaore Transport Company Ltd, Dangote Sugar Refinery PLC, Dangote Packaging Ltd, Noblax Integrated Service, and Tarmez Nigeria Ltd.
About 16 other customers were also recognised for their various levels of patronage.
The Customer Service Week dinner provided an opportunity for Dangote Sinotruk to appreciate its customers and business partners while reiterating its commitment to service delivery, operational improvement and long-term relationships across Nigeria’s commercial transportation market.
