From an early age, accomplished female entrepreneur, Abisola Bamidele’s curiosity and determination have set her on a path of innovation and social impact. For the philanthropist, popularly known as Lady BisBam, her advocacy for preservation of culture and tradition had fuelled her brand as “Alaga Iyawo” (Traditional Wedding MC) for over 30 years and still counting. As a luminary in her field, she has nurtured —and still building— more people. Despite her records of accomplishment as an ‘Alaga Iyawo’, Abisola didn’t rest on her oars as she embarked on an entrepreneurial journey with BisBam Global Ventures. And it’s well over 10 years now that she founded the groundbreaking venture, which owns the popular ‘BisBam Place’, a one-stop sanctuary for Aso Oke, Aso Ebi, and a Jewellery Shop stocking finest pieces celebrating the heritage of Nigerian culture.
For her leadership acumen and a drive to mend fractured families, the Epe, Lagos-born Abisola now serves as a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women in business, by pioneering an online family building forum called Home Builders. Abisola now leads this thriving community uniting nearly 80,000 members across the world. As a further testament to her impact on touching lives, Abisola established the “Alaga Academy,” popularly called “The Rising Stars.” This esteemed institution —where she serves as matron and member of the Board of Trustees— imparts invaluable mentorship and guidance to budding talents. All her achievements serving humanity have not gone unnoticed. With over 100 plus national and international awards to her name, the 53 year-old Abisola has proven to be a true exemplar of excellence.
