A team of civil society organisations (CSOs), has rated Governor Ademola Adeleke high on good governance and accountability in Osun State.
The team, which comprises leaders of the civil society organisations in Nigeria stated that its review and assessment mission to Osun revealed that Adeleke has delivered on his electioneering campaign promises.
Led by the spokesperson, Declan Ihekaire, Gbenga Ganzalo, and Funmi Ajayi, at a press conference in Osogbo, yesterday, the team explained that it has moved round the state in the last one week, and its findings showed that people at the grassroots were enjoying infrastructural, human development, and people friendly administration that listens to the opinions and critiques of the residence/citizens under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
Ihekaire said: “It’s on record that during the last administration in Osun State, we conducted a similar exercise, which to us as unbiased umpires, could say boldly that the current administration under Gov Adeleke has done so much so far that he deserves our commendation and not a total vote of confidence, for him to do more for the people of Osun State.
“The current Osun State Government has been faithfully committed to the implementation of its agenda. We can affirm that significant delivery has taken place from the promises made by Mr. Governor to the people of Osun State.
“We call the attention of the Governor to temporary effects of his high performance and never to get distracted by shenanigans. He must stick to his high service delivery standard and scope of his democratic delivery,” Ihekaire said.
