C’River to harness potential of diaspora community

In a step towards bridging the gap between its global community, and fostering socio-economic growth at home, the Cross River State government has officially unveiled its state-of-the-art Diaspora Commission Complex in Calabar.

This pioneering initiative is poised to revolutionize the way the state engages with its diaspora, catalyzing sustainable development, innovation, and prosperity for the benefit of all.

Commissioning the complex. First Lady of Cross River State, Bishop Eyoanwan Otu, in the presence of the Chief Executive of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri, and Chairman of the State Diaspora Commission, Otu Okor, said the complex marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to harness the potential of its diaspora community.

The First Lady emphasized that the commission will become a leading diaspora commission, bridging the gap between indigenes resident in the state and those around the world.
