Conn8 Media Solutions NG has been honoured for its contribution to Nigeria’s technology startup ecosystem at the CODEFEST Hackathon 2025 held at the University of Lagos Design Studio.
The media consultancy firm, publishers of Tech and Biz News NG and eTimes Africa News, received the Social Impact Award for its role in supporting emerging tech ventures through media consultancy, strategic communication and storytelling.
Founder of Conn8 Media Solutions NG, Anthony Emeka Nwosu, described the recognition as a validation of the company’s efforts in amplifying the work of young innovators. “We appreciate this award and recognition; it is a testament that the community is taking note of our impact in the ecosystem,” he said. He noted the financial challenges of working with early-stage startups but maintained that passion has kept the organisation committed.
Nwosu reaffirmed the company’s mission to promote positive narratives about Nigeria, stressing that the country hosts one of the most vibrant startup ecosystems in Africa. “Our youths are innovators and not lazy, and we are here to work with them,” he added.
Conn8 Media Solutions NG, based in Ikeja, Lagos, offers services ranging from corporate profiling and media briefings to digital marketing and social media management. The firm maintains strategic alliances with CODEFEST Hackathon, GITEX Nigeria and GITEX Dubai.
The 2025 CODEFEST Hackathon, organised by Codefest International, featured a week-long virtual challenge, public voting and expert evaluation, culminating in an awards expo. The event aims to set a Guinness World Record for participation and continues to drive youth empowerment and innovation across sectors including health, education, agriculture, fintech and climate resilience.
