CODM African Cup Launches as new Pan-African esports competition

The CODM African Cup, a new independently organised pan-African Call of Duty: Mobile esports tournament, has been announced, with registration scheduled to run from September 12 to September 30, 2026.

The competition is being organised by African gaming creators and esports enthusiasts with the aim of bringing together competitive Call of Duty: Mobile players from across the continent on one platform.

The main tournament is scheduled to take place from October 19 to October 31, 2026, with participants expected from several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, Egypt, Uganda, Tanzania, Mali, Botswana, Togo, Malawi, Liberia, Zambia, Ethiopia, DR Congo and Ivory Coast.

Organisers say the tournament is intended to create more opportunities for African mobile gamers to compete beyond their local communities while strengthening connections between gaming and esports communities across the continent.

The competition is expected to follow a knockout format, with participants progressing through different stages before the remaining contenders advance to the final.

Alongside the championship title, the tournament will also recognise standout individual performances, including a Top Fragger award for one of the strongest-performing players during the competition.

Registration will remain open until September 30, after which organisers are expected to confirm the participating players, tournament fixtures and official bracket ahead of the opening matches in October.

Fans will be able to follow tournament updates, match results, highlights and other developments through the event’s official social media and livestreaming platforms.

With competitors from multiple African countries expected to take part, the CODM African Cup is being positioned as a continental platform aimed at increasing visibility for African Call of Duty: Mobile players and creating a larger competitive stage for mobile esports talent across the region.

Registration: September 12–30, 2026 while Tournament: October 19–31, 2026.
