The Anambra State Association (ASA), in Madrid, Spain has elected businessman and renowned gospel artiste, Chukwudi St. Amaeze, as its President General.
The event, which held on October 12 in Madrid, was attended by leading Anambra sons and daughters, as well as their associates and well wishers.
In his opening remarks before the election, where Amaeze was elected unopposed, one of the founders of Anambra State Association, Elder Duke Odukwe Okwulu Jesus urged members to elect a leader filled with fear of God.
“We want a leader with the ability to promote peace and love among all and sundry within the association and even beyond,” he stated.
The high point of the gathering was the presentation of the certificate of return to Amaeze, as the duly elected president general of ASA Madrid, Spain.
The acting president of ASA, Chief Chibuike Sunday Chibuike Okoye, handed over the mantle of leadership and equally administered the oath of office on Amaeze.
He urged the new president general to keep to his campaign manifesto.

Meanwhile, the outgoing president, High Chief Ken Nwose, the Idi of Alor, who participated in the handing over ceremony, also charged Dumdum to take it up from where he stopped.
He challenged the president to take ASA to another level.
The head of patron, Chief Timothy Umeobiaeri who was represented by Chief Osita Akunne Ogbuefi, while praying, beseeched God to bless the newly elected president with wisdom and understanding to enable him lead ASA to greater heights.
In the same vein, Secretary General of ASA, Chief Okechukwu Benjamin Echezona, called for greater vision and co-operation from the new leadership headed by amiable Chief Amaeze and his executives.
Reverend Divine Ezeudogu prayed for God’s protection and grace, while thanking God and all those that made the election to be very successful and rancour free.
In his vote of thanks, Amaeze assured ASA members of speedy implementation of his campaign manifesto, promising that the digital apps he promised ASA must be completed before the first week of February, 2026.
