Galatasaray has proposed a profit-sharing arrangement with its sponsors as a means to secure funds for acquiring Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, who is currently on a season-long loan from Napoli, will see his release clause in the upcoming summer transfer window decrease from €81 million to €75 million.
According to Turkish football expert Ali Naci Küçük, “Galatasaray is looking for sponsors to cover Osimhen’s transfer fee. The sponsors will share in any titles Osimhen wins proportional to their investment and will make a profit if the player is sold in the future. If this formula works, Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray for at least three more years.”
So far this season, Osimhen has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
In related news, Osimhen’s nephew has begun training with the Galatasaray U17 team in Florya.
Osimhen has acted as a guarantor for the young player, who plays in a forward position. He informed Galatasaray management, “He is very talented; don’t miss him. I expect him to be even better than me.”
