Famed Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Ivara Esege, have reportedly lost one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi.
The baby passed away on Wednesday, January 7, after a brief illness, according to online reports.
In February 2025, Adichie told The Guardian UK that she welcomed her twin sons in April 2024.

In an interview with Nigerian media personality Chude Jideonwo, she confirmed that the twins were born through surrogacy.
The award-winning author and Esege, a Nigerian-American doctor, got married in 2009.
The couple welcomed their first child in 2016.
