Chikwado gets title in Lagos

It was a time of joy and happiness recently in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State as friends and relatives gathered to felicitate with Nze Lawrence Chikwado Ezeunara as he was bestowed with a chieftaincy title by Augustine Ojukwu, Eze Ndigbo Amuwo Odofin during the celebration of the annual New Yam festival.

The event, which took place on Saturday, October 28, featured the rich Igbo cultural dance

In his remarks, Nze Chikwado, who is also chairman Ohanaeze Ndigbo Amuwo Odofin, thanked Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin for the trust and confidence they have on him.

On why he merited the title, Ojukwu described Chikwado as a trustworthy person who has touched the lives of Ndigbo in Lagos through his empowerment programmes.

The highlight of the event was cutting and eating the new yam. Eze Ojukwu also prayed for bountiful harvest next year.
