Channels TV: FEC in minute silence for Onuekwusi

• Osinbanjo signs condolence register

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo observed a minute silence in honour of Chukwuma Onuekwusi, Channels Television State House Correspondent, who died on Tuesday. The minute silence was observed before the commencement of FEC meeting.
Osinbajo, who earlier signed condolence register, described Onuekwusi as a member of the State House family, adding that he was articulate, patriotic and a committed journalist whose death is very sad.  Before a minute silence was observed, the acting president said: “Honourable ministers and members of the Federal Executive Council, yesterday, we got a very sad news of the passing on of one of the members of State House family; he is Chukwuma Onuekwusi, of the Channels Television, who passed on after a brief illnesses yesterday.
“I want us, in recognition of the fact that we remember a very good, articulate, patriotic and committed journalist, I want us, in honour of this fine gentleman, rise and observe a minute silence.”
