Finima community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, has witnessed a brutal outbreak of violence.
Residents of Amadabo of Finima, Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown, came under heavy gunfire by gunmen in the early hours of Saturday, between the hours of 3am and 4am.
The residential buildings, fences and a vehicle were riddled with bullets.
Community sources claimed that some individuals have been fingered as those that carried out the attack.
They sources, who craved to remain anonymous, said they expect security agencies to unravel the sponsors of the heinous operation.
Some people who sustained severe bullet wounds, including one that lost his hand, were rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
According to the sources, the attackers did not end at the monarch’s residence, as they spread bullets to the houses of some community leaders.
At the time of filing the report, It could not be ascertained if security agencies have arrested any suspects in connection with the operation.
