Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany stated that his side lost momentum in the second half of their Champions League defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday night.
The Bundesliga winners entered the game unbeaten in the tournament, hoping to continue their excellent start.
Although Jurrien Timber put the Gunners ahead, Lennart Karl capped off a superb move to pull Bayern level.
But Arsenal scored twice in the second half through Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli.

“I thought we didn’t have a bad start in the first half, but then conceded from a set piece,” Kompany explained.
“Even so, we got the momentum back and equalized.
“At half time, my feeling was that we could win the game if we keep it up. But we didn’t find our rhythm in the second half.
“Meanwhile, Arsenal managed to decide the game. They had a very good game management and used the small moments to their favour.
“I won’t look for excuses. We have to say that Arsenal were better. That’s all.”
