Cardify Africa launches payment platform to ease international spending difficulties
A fintech firm, Cardify Africa on Thursday launched a virtual card and bills payment portal powered by fiat and digital currencies, Cardify Africa seeks to outweigh the hassles of local and international transactions and as well, bridge transaction irregularities.
Unveiling, the payment service in Ibadan, the CEO/founder, Cardify Africa, Tunde Buremo, expressed that the platform will enable customers to engage in transactions in foreign currencies with its virtual card and bills payment offerings.
He said: “Unlocking more ways to spend with digital assets is a top priority.
“Users will be able to shop across various online e-commerce stores with Cardify virtual cards and also purchase everyday vouchers on the Cardify Bills platform, a use case is shopping on both local and international ecommerce platforms, Jumia and Amazon, this means Cardify Africa gives you the provisions to spend your fiat and crypto through cardify virtual cards and bills platform seamlessly.
“Customers will use crypto to pay their airtime bill, mobile data bill, electricity bill, and other types of bills,” he added.
Cardify Africa’s CMO, Taiwo Idris, in a statement, explained that, “With Cardify, everyone in Nigeria and Africa at large will have the access to spend their digital assets just the same way they spend fiat.”
A marketing assistant with Cardify Africa, Yemisi Solaja said, “Bills payment for Mtn, Airtel, 9 Mobile, Glo, Smile, Spectranet, among others, have been integrated as a service on the Cardify Bills Platform, and that the cardify virtual card works on almost all frequently used websites”
Cardify Africa, however, assured to scale its operations by providing these services to users in other african countries while maintaining global standards in dishing out its operations.
