In a remarkable initiative combining creativity, music, and social responsibility, Calidad Studios, in partnership with Promute Digital Company Ltd, has launched the Crime Free Christmas Campaign, designed to encourage a safer and more peaceful festive season across Nigeria. The project brings together ten talented artists, each contributing an original single that embodies the true spirit of Christmas, which is love, respect, and community.

The project features Bella, Adedayor, Rapson Jay, Osburn, Inioluwa Adeyemi, Titilade, Jide Crystal, Shawker, Njoku Samuel Kehinde, and Tblaize. Each artist was carefully selected to contribute a unique voice and perspective to the campaign, resulting in a diverse collection of songs that highlight compassion, unity, and the importance of celebrating the season in a peaceful and crime-free environment.

The production of the project spanned three weeks and brought together an array of creatives based in Ibadan, Oyo State. These included singers, instrumentalists, producers, sound engineers, video directors, editors, and production assistants who all played an integral role in bringing the campaign’s vision to life.

All ten singles were produced and engineered at Promute Digital Studios by King Whalay, ensuring professional sound quality and production standards. King Whalay, who managed the recording sessions, guided the artists and oversaw the overall creative direction of the project. The video shoot and direction were led by Njoku Samuel Kehinde, who captured the essence of each song and artist through visually engaging storytelling. Slimbeatz also contributed to the project, providing key production support in music arrangement and engineering across several tracks.

All ten singles are available for streaming on all streaming platforms, and individual music videos are now live on the Calidad Studio YouTube Channel, allowing audiences to enjoy both the music and the visual narratives that complement the project’s message.

Reflecting on the project, King Whalay said,

“The Crime Free Christmas Project is one of the projects I loved the most in the just concluded year because it represents what I stand for, which is a better society. That is exactly what this project is about, and I believe it is eternal and will always be referred to.”

A spokesperson from Calidad Studios added,

“The Crime Free Christmas Campaign is more than a music collaboration. It is a movement to remind people of the values that matter most. Through music and visuals, we hope to reach hearts and minds, inspiring communities to embrace love, empathy, and peaceful coexistence during the festive season.”

The Crime Free Christmas Project stands as an example of how Nigeria’s creative industry can harness talent for social impact. By uniting a group of dedicated artists, producers, and creatives around a shared goal, the campaign demonstrates that music and art have the power to influence society, spark conversations, and encourage positive change.

This project highlights the importance of collaboration, commitment, and the use of creative platforms to address societal challenges. It is a testament to the potential of art to shape culture, foster community awareness, and remind individuals of the values that should define celebrations and everyday life.
