Nigerian singer Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ tour has made history as the highest-grossing tour by an African artist ever.
According to tour tracking technology, ‘I Told Them’ earned $30.5 million from 302,801 tickets sold at 22 gigs in Europe and North America.
“@burnaboy’s ‘I Told Them…’ is officially the highest-grossing tour by any Afrobeat artist in history, with $30.5 million from 302,801 tickets sold in 22 shows,” the platform wrote.

Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them… Tour’ earned $6.147 million from 58,973 ticket sales at London Stadium on June 29, 2024, making it the highest-grossing performance by an African musician in history.
The ‘I Told Them’ tour generated $15.19 million in income from 152,378 ticket sales over 16 North American dates. It grossed $15.27 million from 150,423 tickets sold at six European concerts.
Meanwhile, American singer Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour remains the highest-grossing music tour of all time, earning $2 billion from 149 shows over 21 months.
The tour more than quadrupled the previous record set by Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
