Brickhall School Abuja, on Saturday, drew the curtain for the term’s academic term to a close an inter-house sports and funfair activities to appreciate God, parents, teachers and the every other stakeholder for successful academic term that recorded a great success.
The inter-house sports activities which held at the main bowl of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, witnessed impressive turn of parents and friends of the school. Some Alumni of the school were also present to witness the sporting event.
Teachers and children used the occasion to celebrate themselves for extra effort that brought out the best out the children, academically, morally and otherwise.
Founder and Chairman of the School, Senator Joy Emordi, in her welcome address, said she was full of gratitude to God, the parents for their unshaking trust and support, and to the teachers for their dedication and commitment to duty.
She was particularly impressed with the unimaginable achievements, academically and otherwise, recorded in the school the last few years of establishment.
She said: “We are committed to providing strong basic education foundation for the children entrusted in our care. And we are extremely impressed with the success thus far. Our children are happy because we have a unique way of make teaching and learning fun.”
Executive Director of the school, Mrs. Nneka Emordi-Eze, said the significance of the inter-house event was to provide a relaxed moment for teachers, parents and students to have fun together and appreciated each other under a relaxed and sporting environment.
“Sports is good for the body. It enhance mental and physical development. So, aside academic (class) activities, we are Brickhall School also give attention to sporting activities. Who knows, some of the children might develop career interest in sports which is highly profitable now.”
A parent who pleaded anonymity, appreciated the management for putting together such funfilled sporting event, which he said, will help in strengthening the mind and soul of the children, and giving them the opportunity to discover themselves, sportswise.
A guest whose friend has two daughters in Brickhall School said the school has greatly impacted on her friend’s children, as attested by the parents.
She thanked the school for such a relaxed platform to enjoy the artistic talent of the children, and also confessed that the school has greatly impacted on the children, academically, socially and morally.
Similarly, a parent who identified himself as Emmanuel, also confessed that his son has developed greatly through the school. He thanked the school management and encouraged them to continue the good work.
