Organisers of the Business of Photography (BOP) Conference have announced that the 2025 edition will focus on positioning the visual arts as a driver of economic growth and sustainable enterprise in Africa.

Themed“The Art of Enterprise,” the conference seeks to deepen conversations around the intersection of creativity and business in Nigeria’s fast-growing creative sector. The event will convene photographers, filmmakers, content creators, brand strategists, policymakers, and investors for a five-day programme featuring panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, and networking engagements aimed at improving business outcomes for creative professionals.

“The Art of Enterprise represents our dedication to empowering visual storytellers to craft not just their art, but successful ventures,” said Kola Oshalusi, convener of the BOP Conference. “In a digital landscape ruled by creativity, it’s critical for professionals to balance aesthetic prowess with business savvy. We’re here to ignite that powerful synergy among African creatives.”

Now in its latest edition, Oshalusi noted that the BOP Conference continued to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, industry collaboration, and policy engagement. “The event has become an important space for advocating the role of visual storytelling in job creation, cultural preservation, and Africa’s global representation.”

Oshalusi added, “We believe in creating more than opportunities, we’re building infrastructure for long-term industry sustainability.”

He explained that the conference is expected to attract a broad mix of participants including emerging and established visual professionals, creative entrepreneurs, and institutional stakeholders looking to strengthen partnerships across the value chain. Discussions will also address business structure, monetisation, intellectual property, and the future of creative work in the digital economy.
