Many billionaires’ daughters sometimes command respect and fame based on their fathers’ fortune and connections. Majority are cashing on their family names and business empires while some are in various lines of businesses flourishing with or without their father’s affluence in the society. Born with a silver spoon, Bella Disu, the gorgeous second daughter of quintessential business tycoon, Dr Mike Agbolade Adenuga, intends to break all the taboos, leaving behind all the orthodox customs to shine like the brightest star in the whole world. Bella currently holds a position as the Executive Vice Chairman, Globacom Limited. She is also a Non-Executive Director at the biggest construction giant in Nigeria, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. Without taking anything away from the phenomenal feats of so many top executives of her father’s conglomerate, Bella is fast proving her worth in all the various executive roles within the group and making her enigmatic billionaire dad so proud with her contributions. She has continuously been putting efforts in making Globacom which she joined in 2004 better than ever and a brand to be reckoned with on the continent.
Early this week, the company announced it has mapped out plans that would help position the Nigerian economy on the right digital path. In specific terms, Glo will launch an artificial intelligence platform which will directly interact with customers, whilst helping them with any kind of assistance.
As part of building the brand, Bella recently struck a deal with the publishers of Jeune Afrique and Africa Report on behalf of Globacom to host the annual Africa CEO Forum, a gathering of the continent’s top business leaders, holding in Kigali, Rwanda between 25 and 26 March. She also recently joined 149 other top global business leaders at the 2019 Choose France International Business Summit held at the Chateau de Versailles in France. French President, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, was on hand to receive her and other business leaders at the dinner organised to promote France’s attractiveness as a business environment.
Last weekend, Bella was certified by the Institute of Directors alongside 65 others at the 2019 new members induction ceremony held at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos. The cerebral lady was among those who bagged the institute’s full membership, while some others got associate membership and three directors got life membership.
