Jermaine Jenas has stepped down from his role as a presenter at the BBC, the organisation has revealed.
“We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up,” stated a BBC spokesperson. Jenas had been a prominent figure on the network, serving as both a pundit and presenter for “Match of the Day” and “The One Show.”
Jenas last appeared on the respective shows on May 4th and July 22nd. He recently offered commentary for the Spain-France semi-final match on the BBC’s Euro 2024 coverage.

According to BBC News, he left because of claims of workplace misconduct. Text messages and other digital exchanges were reportedly included in a complaint made against Jenas a few weeks ago.
British tabloid The Sun reported that an internal investigation was launched promptly following the complaint, leading to Jenas’ removal from official BBC channels and the subsequent termination of his contract. It’s believed that Jenas will not return to the BBC.
While Jenas’ future with TNT Sports, where he covers football and Formula E, remains unclear, the broadcaster stated they take any accusations of inappropriate behaviour seriously and would investigate accordingly. Interestingly, Jenas debuted as a presenter for talkSPORT as news of his BBC departure surfaced.
