Barcelona staged a dramatic comeback on Tuesday night to defeat Atletico Madrid 3-1 and extend their lead in the La Liga standings.

The victory at Spotify Camp Nou moves Hansi Flick’s side four points clear of second-place Real Madrid with 37 points from 15 matches.

Atletico, now in fourth place, trail by six points after the loss snapped their 13-match unbeaten streak in league play.

Atletico struck first in the 19th minute, capitalizing on a swift counterattack.

Nahuel Molina’s precise pass found Alex Baena in stride, and the midfielder unleashed a clinical finish past Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia to stun the home crowd.

Barcelona responded swiftly, equalizing just seven minutes later.

Pedri’s visionary through ball split the Atletico defense, allowing Raphinha to dribble around goalkeeper Jan Oblak before rifling the ball into the empty net for 1-1.

The first half ended level, though Barcelona dominated possession at 58% and generated more chances, including a missed penalty by Robert Lewandowski after Pablo Barrios fouled Dani Olmo in the box.

Gerard Martin of Barcelona and Baena of Atletico picked up yellow cards in a tense opening period.

The second half tilted decisively in Barcelona’s favor.

In the 65th minute, Olmo redeemed the earlier spot-kick miss by converting a low cross from Raphinha, turning the game on its head at 2-1.

Flick’s tactical adjustments paid dividends as his team pressed relentlessly, outshooting Atletico 19-7 overall.

Atletico pushed for an equalizer late on, with substitutions including Conor Gallagher, Thiago Almada, Alexander Sorloth, and Antoine Griezmann injecting fresh energy.

But Barcelona held firm, and in the 96th minute, Balde’s overlapping run set up Torres for a tap-in at the far post, sealing the three points.
