•Demand N100m to free 50 captives

The former Talata Mafara Local Government Sole Administrator, Saminu Sulaiman Morai, has been killed by suspected bandits.
He was killed during attack by bandits who invaded the community on Monday night.
His wife and some unspecified number of his children were abducted and taken to an unknown place.
Saminu Morai,was a retired Permanent Secretary, after which he served as Talatar Mafara council sole administrator.
He worked for a number of years at Zamfara State College of Arts and Science (ZACAS), Gusau, before his elevation to the rank of the permanent secretary by the administration of former Zamfara state Governor, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.
Zamfara state Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Yezid Abubakar, said investigation was ongoing to uncover more about the incident.
His remains were buried yesterday.
Meanwhile, bandits in state have reportedly demanded N1000 million to set free the 50 people recently abducted in Kaura Namoda LGA.
Residents of Banga Gidan Giji and Kogi villages in Kaura Namoda LGA, shared their ordeals while discussing with journalists of what they described as unending brutality of armed bandits in their areas.
Some residents from the communities have started fleeing their homes due to the deadly incident that occurred earlier in the beginning of this week.
According to residents , those abducted were mostly women and children, adding that the bandits have insisted that ransom has to be paid before the victims would be released.
Two other people were said to have been killed during attacks on the communities.
Residents also said that the bandits came on motorcycles and were carrying deadly weapons.
A resident, said: “The bandits came to Banga town, met some children at the entrance of their houses and abducted about 50 of them and killed two others.
“If not the intervention of the local vigilance group,they would have picked more than the number they have so far abducted.”
The bandits according to a residents and demanded N100 million as ransom before they would release the victims.
