• Awotuyi as Deputy Leader, Agboola as Assistant

The installation of leadership in the Ilorin District Headquarters of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (CSMCW) Ayo Ni O, marks a significant milestone in the church’s history. The event, presided over by His Grace, Pro. Dr. Abiodun Emmanuel Alogbo, saw the appointment of three dedicated members into key roles, Most Senior Special Apostle Prophet Elisha Adebisi Fabiyi as the new Chairman, Most Senior Special Apostle John Oluwole Awotuyi as Deputy Leader and Special Apostke oshua Bamidele Agboola as Assistant Leader.
Prophet Fabiyi, hailing from Omu-Aran in Kwara State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Originally baptized in the Anglican Church, he transitioned into the CSMCW and has been an integral part of its growth. His educational background includes studies at Barewa College, Zaria, Ahmadu Bello University and further training in Insurance in the UK. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions within the Church, including serving as the Secretary-General of the C&S Unification Churches of Nigeria, Chairman of the Youth Development Committee and Camp Commandant for two decades. His dedication and commitment make him a fitting choice to lead the Ilorin District.
Awotuyi, born in Ikoti, Ilesa, has been a lifelong member f the Cherubim and Serpahim Movement Church. From his early days travelling with his father for evangelism to his current status as a prominent figure in the Church hierarchy, Awotuyi’s journey is one of unwavering devotion. He has served in numerous capacities, including as Secretary and President of the Light of Morning Star Band, and has climbed the ranks from Aladura to Most Senior Special Apostle. Beyond his religious activities, Awotuyi is a successful businessman and philanthropist, founding Tuyil Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited and the Oluwole Foundation. His contributions to both the church and society highlight his leadership qualities.
And Agboola, son of the third Spiritual Father of CSMCW Ayo Ni O, has deep roots in the churc. Baptised in 1946, he ban his service as the first Church Secretary of the CSMCW Ayo Ni O in Samaru-Zaria. Professionlly, he workd as an accountant, rising through the ranks to become the head of the Bursary Departmentat Kwara State College of Education. Within the Church, Agboola has held several important roles, such as National Treasurer for the Light of Morning Star Band, District Secretary, and Treasurer for the Band. Currently, he severs as the president of the Light of Morning Star Band and Chairman of multiple committees, showcasing his administrative acumen and dedication.
In his sermon, Special Apostle Prophet Popoola emphasized the important of leadership and followership, drawing inspiration from Exodus 18:24. He urged the newly installed leaders to be accessible, attentive and committed to teaching the congregation the ways of the Lord. Similary, he called on the congregation to support their leaders, recongnising their qualifications and readiness to guide the church forward.
Meanwhile, Ilorin branch of the CSMCW traces its origin back to 1927 when Elder E.O. Meadows initiated services with a small group of like-minded individuals. Over time, the congregation grew under the influence of pioneers like the late Special Apostle J.O. Lajorin, leading to the establishment of the first prayer house at 75, Murtala Muhammed Way, Ilorin.
This installation ceremony not only celebrates the achievements of these esteemed leaders but also reinforces the values of service, humility and spiritual growth that define the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide. As the Ilorin District embarks on this new chapter, it does so with confidence in the capable hands of its leadership team.
