Tailor’s Closet by Owanate Jack recently launched the Nobilis Collection, which is an assortment of designs made from brocade fabric.
However, the collection that has been “guaranteed to have you feeling royal” could only live up to expectation with few of the pieces.
Brocade fabric has a luxurious look and heavy feel to them, thus it is known for being a preferred material for showcasing wealth, royalty or superiority even if they are made for kids.
The Nobilis Collection is specially designed for kids between the ages of five and 15. But older kids with smaller body frames can also wear a few of the designs.

The Nobilis Collection features styles that are quite simple while a few of them had intricate designs. Brocade fabric is made in such a way that, with or without jewelries, the style would look good on its wearer. For example, one of the dresses was like a shirt with some extra beading on the neck, to give an illusion of a pearl necklace for girls. Other designs include simple gowns, with a particular one designed as a short sleeved-jacket, and kids can wear this on career days. The girls also had a few shorts, skirts and simple cute tops that can be properly styled with the same brocade shorts or clothes made from other fabric.
There were a few shorts, trousers and kaftan designed for the boys. And the Kaftan is commendable because it looked good even on the mannequins that modeled a few of them.
Nevertheless, there were few misses in the designs, as it seemed that they were hastily designed or the finishing was tackily done by someone who couldn’t be bothered with much attention to details. One can only wish that the same expert that started the collection were the one who finished it.
The collection has brocade designed in various pastel colours such as pink, baby blue and soft lavender. There were other colours like red, brown, yellow and lemon green.
According to the designer, the colours were carefully picked to showcase the beauty of the brocade fabrics and how it can be subtle, yet bold – a contradiction that only a few fabrics have been able to rival.
In fact, the colours chosen for the Nobilis Collection are quite fit for the upper class. They command attention while not being forceful about it. Hopefully, the next Tailor’s Closet’s kiddie’s collection will pay much attention to details.
